New Year New Me

Blog Post

When I initially started my blog, I wanted it to be something that would help people with tips on different lifestyle topics. Giving my personal advice on topics such as plus-size clothing sites and self-care / haircare routines. I started this Blog almost a year ago with the lust of wanting to share my thoughts with the hopes that it would help others.

New year

After a few months of blogging. I found myself becoming bored with my content. Due to the fact that the topics I chose to tackle even tho very important were not something I was passionate about. I realized that I had started my blog with the wrong mindset. Initially, as I stated above it was all about sharing advice and helping people but, as the world changed so fast times were getting hard. I was trying to rush the process for this to become a source of income fast!

So, to do that I started writing about topics I still cared about of course but, I was also very much plugging in links with hopes people would click and that I would receive some monetary gain. It had gotten to the point that my last blog post was a topic I love but I washed it out by trying to link products. I rewrote my post to try and link in as many products as I could. Hoping people would check it out and I would make some money.

Needless to say, I was not happy with my last post at all. I don’t want to be that type of person or have that type of brand. I am not going to remove it because I will use it as a reminder to stay true to myself and focus on the main reason I started this blog. Not for money or success I genuinely want to help people and share my advice and my story on certain if not all topics I want this to be a safe place for people to comment and have conversations.

2023 has just started but already it is a big eye-opener for me.

I feel more focused than I have felt in a long time. My drive is at 1000 for the first time I know there is no limit to my potential and my growth. I took a break from my blog to realign my focus and get back to my true self so, that I can give you my authentic self.

So, allow me to reintroduce myself

My name is Brittney I am a Texas Girl born and raised with a big heart and a love for helping people.  I am also a mother a daughter and a sister and a full-time worker. I love my life and the people I am blessed to have in it. I am a strong-minded African American woman who is in tune with herself and embracing my imperfections.

I still have learning and growing to do and I plan to document my growth with you. We can all learn from each other and grow into our light. I believe in the Girl code which is to be supportive of other women cheer for other women and give love to others. I now understand that we all can eat at the table and that we all have our strengths. Sometimes it just takes some of us a little longer to find it but sis it’s there.

I look forward to the upcoming plans I have for my blog and I will still give tips but I am going to shift my content and make it more personal. I am making this to motivate all people men or women but yall know I’m going hard for my ladies. I truly want to think of any and everyone who takes the time to read my posts and find some enjoyment in them.

Let’s Sparkle and shine together

-Love Brittney
